Hello to all the readers of Kobayo my name is Ohashi from StellaExpress. This is my first collaboration with Kobayo, and Takeru has kindly allowed me to take over his blog.
As you know Kobayo has shown you many areas of Japan such as anime, idols, and Japanese culture. This time I will be presenting to you the methods of purchasing goods when you come to Japan, specifically in Akihabara.
1. Purchasing Goods
◇ Purchasing Idol Goods
Momoiro Clover Official Goods @ TV Asahi Tokyo Station
The management office of TV Asahi is in Tokyo Station, and nearby there is a small shop!
Please use the map above to refer to each location pointed out below.
1. AKB48 Donki Quijote Akihabara Shop
AKB official theatre is on the 8th floor, and directly below is an AKB shop. You will also find a very popular maid cafe here. http://www.cafe-athome.com/
2. AKB48 Official Shop and Cafe
The AKB Official Cafe is directly connected to the JR Akihabara Station literally a 2 minute walk away.

3. Liberty Idol Goods
Just a 5 minute walk from the station.
4. Idol Yokocho Idol Goods.
This store sells idol goods and tons of consumer electronics. In addition they also many stores around which provide various services. This place sort of resembles Taiwan’s electronic street, with many store selling electronic goods and services. Well it has that atmosphere. There are so much computer parts, gadgets, and electronics which can be obtained brand new or second-hand if you prefer.
◇ Purchasing Anime Goods
The 3 stores mentioned above are very famous for anime goods. Well known, with locations in other parts of Japan as well.
Akihabara (Akiba) is mainly the source of Anime and Idol. Chou street is the main street in Akiba, along Chou street you will find anime goods stores, akb theater, and major computer shop. As you enter the alleyways there are small anime shops, used goods shops and computer shops, all crowed together.
8. Gachapon Kaikan
Gachapon heaven is one way to put it lol. So much Gachapon you will ever see in 1 life time. They also make neat souvenirs.
*Ohashi Tip (^o^)/
In Nagoya you will be able to find a very small SKE48 store. It takes 1 hour to get there by Shinkansen (Bullet Train) from Tokyo. One-way ticket is 10,000 yen roughly $100.
2. Accommodation and Transportation
From Narita Airport to Akihabara by Skyliner Express (Keisei Line) takes 50 minutes, costing 2,550 yen for a one way ticket.
APA Akihabara Hotel – starting from ~14,000 yen
Anshin-oyado – starting from ~3980 yen
Tokyo Backpackers – starting from ~2100 yen
3. Lunch & Dinner
Lunch in Akihabara is not recommended, doesn’t taste good and it is greasy…
If you would like a Japanese like meal (why wouldn’t you, you’re in Japan) then I recommend Kyomachi Koi Shigure restaurant in Shibuya. Price is about 4000 yen.
Other places that are good to eat at, if it is night time, are chain store taverns.
4. Travel Planning
To get the most out of visiting Akihabara I recommend going on a weekend, and spending 2 days and 1 night there. Please don’t hold back on buying tons of anime and idol goods.
This has been an introduction to Akihabara ヽ(´ー｀)ノ
